NHS England have directed practices to offer to patients access to the following online services to enhanced the IT-related aspects to providing health and care in both Primary and Secondary care settings. We have implemented these changes since 31 March 2015.
This includes:
- Introducing Summary Care Record which is a nationally accessible record that contains a list of your Medications, Allergies and adverse reactions.
- Improving Online Services – Patient AccessPatient Access
Using Patient Access, you can view, book and cancel appointments or order repeat prescriptions at your local GP surgery from home, work or on the move – wherever you can connect to the internet. What’s more, because Patient Access is a 24 hour online service – you can do this in your own time, day or night. Click to find out more. so that patients who sign up for this additional service will be able to view certain details contained in their medical record online, including the details contained in their Summary Care Record.
