Here is a video about having an implant fitted.

If you would like to find out more about this method please watch the video below or book an appointment with a GP or nurse.

Find out more by watching this video.

If you would like to go ahead and book for a coil fitting please read the following, if any of these apply please book an appointment with Dr Frances Blackmore.

  • I have fibroids or other Gynaecological conditions
  • I have had a failed or difficult coil insertion in the past
  • I may be pregnant

If none of these apply please contact reception to book a coil fitting appointment they will firstly send you a short questionnaire by text confirming the above information and then will be able to look for a coil clinic appointment for you.

We offer everyone who has a coil fitting sexual health screening, you can collect a self swab pack from reception, book online for home use via SHL or we can take take a swab during the fitting consult.

Intrauterine Contraception Removal

Removal of a coil can be done in a normal 10 minute consultation with a GP or nurse. It is important, in order to avoid risk of pregnancy after removal of your device, that you abstain from intercourse for 7 days prior to your appointment.
