Health Visitors Telephone: 020 3317 5425/5426 The health visitors are nurses who are specially trained in child, family and public health. All families with children under 5 can contact the health visitors for advice and support either in the surgery or by telephone. They are able to visit families at home by appointment. They work on weekdays from 9am- 5pm but the best times to telephone are between 9 -10am and 4 - 5pm. Please ask the health visitors about the baby massage and breast feeding sessions they run. |
Children and families advice team The team currently consists of a social worker, family support workers and health visitors. This is a new service to offer one-to-one advice, support and help for parents and/or children experiencing difficulties or worries. The team runs a clinic on Thursday mornings between 10 and 11.30am. Appointments can be made at reception or by contacting the team directly. |
District Nurses The district nurses provide nursing care for people who are housebound. They can also give advice and help if you are looking after a friend or relative including loaning nursing equipment if necessary. They usually visit between 8.30 am and 4pm. A reduced service is available at evenings and weekends. |
Community Midwives Along with the doctors and health visitors, the community midwives offer a full antenatal service including antenatal classes, shared care with the hospital, midwife-led deliveries in the hospital and at home. Midwife appointments are available on a Friday morning for women booked for pregnancy care and delivery at UCLH. |
Smoking Cessation Advisor (m) Simon Galton is our smoking cessation advisor. Smoking cessation appointments can be booked via the receptionist. No referral from your GP is required. These appointments usually take place on a Wednesday afternoon. Alternatively there are a range of smoking cessation clinics available in the community. Please ask our receptionists for further information. |
Clinical Psychologist Dr Louise Crocker is our clinical psychologist. Appointments with Dr Crocker are arranged via referral from your own General Practitioner |
Visiting Consultant Ophthalmologist Appointments with Mr Raymond Lobo who runs our outreach ophthalmology clinic are made by consultation with your GP |
Visiting Consultant Gynaecologist Appointments with Mr. Anthony Silverstone, our visiting consultant gynaecologist can be made by arrangement with your GP. |

Interpreting and Advocacy Interpreting and advocacy can be provided in many other different languages upon request |
Substance Misuse Clinic We run a twice weekly clinic offering help to those with substance misuse problems registered with the practice. We would encourage you to talk with your GP if you have a drug or alcohol problem as help is available. |
